Thank you very much for buying this product. VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN is a collection of digital video picture materials suitable for multimedia and nonlinear video editing. This product is royalty-free, so you can use it freely and repeatedly.
・Product structure
This product consists of three CD-ROMs: Disc 1 (browser, multimedia materials) and Discs 2 and 3 (digital video [DV] editing materials).
Disc 1 : for multimedia 320 x 240 pixels QuickTime photo-JPEG Full-color 30 fps / 70 items
Disc 2 : for DV editing 720 x 486 pixels (D1-NTSC) QuickTime photo-JPEG Full-color 30 fps / 35 items
Disc 3 : for DV editing 720 x 486 pixels (D1-NTSC) QuickTime photo-JPEG Full-color 30 fps / 35 items

Because the DV editing materials stored on Discs 2 and 3 have a viewing angle of 720 x 486 pixels (9:6 aspect ratio), they will appear longer horizontally on a computer screen than in multimedia materials.

How to use the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser -----------------------------
[Starting up]
Insert the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN CD (Disc 1) into the CD-ROM drive.
Double click the "Video Browser" icon.
* Set your display to 32000 colors or more before starting up.
* If you change the display setting while using the browser, it may cause disturbance on the screen.
* QuickTime 3.0 is required.
・Scroll
Press the scroll button to scroll one or three lines at a time.
Press the scroll bar to jump to a target line.
・Material selection
Click on the material you want to use, and it will be surrounded by a yellow frame. This is called "material selected."
* The image shown on the material selection screen is a thumbnail image displaying major frames for each material.
・PLAY
To play the movie, click PLAY when you are in the "material selected" mode or double-click the material.
Select other materials to stop the playing.
・STOP
Click STOP to halt the playing of movies.
・TOP
Click TOP to move to the first movie frame.
・REW
Click REW to rewind the movie by one frame. Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump from the first to the last frame.
・FWD
Click FWD to advance the movie by one frame. Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump from the last to the first frame.
・END
Click END to move to the last movie frame.
・LOOP
Click LOOP to set or reset the LOOP mode.
Click PLAY when the LOOP mode is ON to replay the selected movie. Click LOOP again to reset the LOOP mode.
・current time
The lapsed time for the material being played is displayed, in the order of hour, minute, second and frame number.
・duration
The playing time of the selected material is displayed.
・ZOOM
Click ZOOM to magnify the selected material to 320 x 240 pixels.
Select some material and click the ZOOM key, and the screen will change to the zoom display mode and the first frame will be shown. Press the PLAY key to play the movie. Click RETURN to go back to the material selection screen.
* Because the data is stored in a high-resolution format, frame dropouts will occur when the material is replayed with a browser.
* Materials for DV editing (720 x 486 pixels) are stored on either Disc 2 or 3.
・FIND
Select some material and click FIND, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels) will be found on the CD-ROM and displayed in the Finder window.
* Materials for DV editing (720 x 486 pixels) are stored on either Disc 2 or 3.
・SAVE
Select some material and click SAVE, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels) will be found on the CD-ROM and saved in a designated place as a file.
・QUIT
Click QUIT to exit the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser.
